Our spring term Engineering 103 design project theme, run through Drexel University's ExCITe center, will be the "Robot Symphony". Each group will design and build a robotic musical device or lighting/video addition, and all projects will work together in concert to perform a predetermined musical piece at Drexel's URBN Center Black Box Theater on Friday May 27th, 2016.
Our Freshmen Design Project
Our freshman design project is a self-actuated Pneumatic Recorder, which will utalize electronic and mechanical components to simulate the air which is blown through and the fingers which play a recorder. These components, mainly comprised of solenoids, are pre-programmed to a specific set of notes in order to play together with other robots in the robotic symphony described above.
